Two mums and a little bit of balagan
Balagan Childhood was born at two kitchen tables in Finland between challah dough, crayons, and very enthusiastic helpers. We could not find Jewish early-childhood materials that felt calm, beautiful, and easy to actually use, so we started making our own.
"Balagan" is Hebrew for a joyful mess, and that is exactly what early childhood is. Our materials do not try to tidy it up. They bring Jewish stories, values, and routines into the beautiful chaos of real homes and real classrooms.
